Visted Glenveagh National park on a cold sunny March day. The park and castle are both excellent. A shuttle bus will take you to the castle there are lovely themed gardens and you can walk along the lake or go further into the hills and mountains. We walked to the castle and it took around half an hour it is... More

A definitive must for sightseeing. On a good day weatherwise the entire day can be beautifully spent. Great to learn that Greta Garbo stayed here.

Many walking route options and beautiful landscape. We visited off-season so only saw two other people during our two hour walk. Five minutes into the walk, you're away from the noise of cars on the road outside and the whole area feels so peaceful. Decided to give the castle a miss but we had heard great things about it.

We tried to visit this castle and grounds on our visit. Unfortunately, despite the website saying the castle and grounds are open until 5 when we arrived we were told that the castle closed at 3:45. Since we had driven 2 hours to see it we decided to walk to the castle grounds anyway. Turned out to be a mistake.... More

Enjoyed a lovely walk down through the glen and past the lough and castle. Fortunately we were visiting with friends so we were able to do a car drop in the main car park then drive round and begin our walk at the top of the Bridle Path. The extra drive afterwards to retrieve the car was well worth it... More

I've visited Glenveagh regularly over the years and in different seasons; it never fails to surprise and enchant. Most recently we had the opportunity to impress overseas guests who marvelled at the spectacular frost tinged pathways sparkling in the winter sun. The park is beautifully maintained, the house tour is a joy and the gorgeous cafe is a welcome haven... More

If you like a beautiful walk in nature this is the place to go. Rather than taking the bus which is laid on from the Car Park to the Castle you may prefer to walk. This is a beautiful walk..one of the nicest places I have ever been. Also I found the tress stunning...all different kinds.
