We, along with our friends, took an eight day cycling and hiking tour with James Foley from Beyond The Glass. Ireland was always on our bucket list and we had an excellent, memorable experience exploring Ireland’s beautiful landscape and rich cultural heritage. James had planned a perfect trip for all of us, It was a right balance of cycling, hiking, and site seeing leaving enough time for us to explore the beautiful town’s of Ireland on our own. We enjoyed a lot, learnt a lot about Ireland, its rich heritage, culture, and society. Hotel accommodation was very comfortable and must say, had excellent and delicious food. All this made possible by James and his excellent knowledge of Ireland, and being local to the area, was able to create a very unique experience for us. James himself was very sensitive to our needs, a caring and fun individual to be with, and a through gentleman. Could not have asked for a better vacation experience. We would highly recommend James Foley and his company Beyond The Glass for exploring Ireland. Thank you James for making it a memorable experience for us. We will cherish it for a very long time. My husband and I took the 8 day Beyond the Glass Explorer Tour, a bicycling and hiking adventure tour in Ireland. The trip took us from Cork City around the southwest coast and ended up in Dublin. The trip was spectacular and i cannot think of a better way to have seen Ireland’s beautiful landscape. James Foley, the owner and guide was so very kind, informative, helpful and accomodating. James kept all of the group safe with the hiking and bicycling activities. We were busy and having a lot of fun. James has tremendous knowledge and provided us excellent history of Ireland. The hotel accommodations were excellent and food we ate at various places was delicious. We really enjoyed this trip and i would definitely recommend it! James provided an amazing experience for our first, but hopefully not last, trip to Ireland. Being able to experience the countryside at ground level- being able stop and take it all in, while listening to the history of what was before us is not something that would have happened just sitting in a tour bus all day every day. Each stop on the tour provided a new and breathtaking landscape to explore. The accommodations and restaurants were lovely. The smaller group size and James’s flexibility lent to a more personalized experience, rather than feeling like we were on a cookie cutter style tour. It’s a trip that won’t soon be forgotten.…
