No mobile phones allowed....nice little touch!

I was only in here once but it was really nice. They had music from the 30's(maybe?) playing on the radio and it just felt really old fashioned. Like going back in time. They have... read more

Visited here recently. Very cosy pub with strange opening hours. Good pint of stout and pleasant lady behind the bar. The bar is like a living room and has an authentic traditional pub feel. Perfect for a quiet (late) afternoon drink. Cellphone are frowned upon which is an absolutely GREAT initiative!

Intrigued by the no-phone policy we just had to check it out! Absolutely loved it. It's tiny, it was packed that Saturday night but the atmosphere is second to none; thanks to the mobile ban, people are actually encouraged to talk to each other! Bar staff were friendly, and customers were of all age groups from twenties to sixties. Loved... More

First of all, think about going to a place where the owner will not allow you to use your phone, because that pub is literally his living room, his pub his rules, that's how it is. AMAZING! It took me back to the 20's (I am not that old though!), little pub with some great oldies playing on the radio.... More

I don't have much to say about this place because I just literally pop in and out. The idea of no phones allowed got me interested in visit the bar. But as soon as I entered the door I thought that i could not finish even one drink there. The place is really small and there is this awkward smell... More

I was only in here once but it was really nice. They had music from the 30's(maybe?) playing on the radio and it just felt really old fashioned. Like going back in time. They have a no mobile phone rule which I love! Its nice to have a pub full of people and have them chatting away, instead of heads... More

We hadn't been in this bar for fifteen years until last Saturday. Nothing has changed. Still a good pint served in a relaxed atmosphere by a very friendly young barman.

We popped into the Hi-B after a recommendation from a friend. It's tiny, and a bit musty, and full of regulars that size you up when you enter, but we liked it. They serve the usual beers, including the Franciscan Well Rebel Red, which is a tasty beverage, so no complaints from us there. They discourage phones; one man was... More

strange little pub and not sure what to say about the place. It's like going back in time 100 years and imagining what a bar was like then. The locals just looked at us very strangely and really didn't make it a nice visit and had to kind of fight them to get to the bar for a drink Hard... More

Recommended to us by the front desk of our hotel and I couldn't be happier. After the bars of Dublin, I was shocked to see such a quaint, small bar. And it was excellent. Full of older regulars and not tourists. The young bartender was very friendly and he and the other customers gave us the warmest welcome and many... More
