After walking around the stones one can take a break at the lovely little tourist shop and cafe. Good and friendly service. Very much like most of the tourist areas around sightseeing places.

Great wee area to read up on some local history,and enjoy stunning views but as with many things on the isles, totally ruined by crowds. Quite a shame but a must do thing on the island.

This is a must-see monument that is significant and mysterious. The stones and the people that placed them are such a curious mystery you can help but want to snap a zillion pics,however, some visitors have no control of their kids and they are running around playing tag ruining every shot you want to take. There should be some signs posted that say keep back 20 or so feet, stay off the mound, keep to the path, or best of all. . . control your kids and be mindful of others. The shop was great, the visitor centre informative but I would have liked to get just 1 photo without wild children and their complacent parents messing it up. For the site, top marks. . .for the rudeness of others it hurts us all. Especially those of us who travel great distances (halfway around the world) to see and marvel at the technology and people of this age.…

The Visitors Centre right next to the Standing Stones of Callanish is just what this great historical site deserves: a very interesting little museum, and a lovely shop with all sorts of souvenirs, books, and beautiful and very affordable jewellery. My darling husband bought me a wonderful Celtic mood ring there that changes colours!…

Very disappointed with the cafe service within the visitor centre. The menu selection is very limited and nowhere to be seen, overpriced, staff are very unhappy and unfriendly, cleanliness and food hygiene standards are poor, place needs a management overhaul to get it up to standard. Won't be getting our custom again!…
