Oh what is there not to like about visiting lighthouses? This one didn't disappoint....set as it is high on the cliffs, with stunning views of the sea and coast. We walked about on the cliff all around the lighthouse, and enjoyed the wind blowing the...More

I was so excited when we reached the Butt of Lewis. Besides the initial giggle at the name (because I'm a grown-up), the lighthouse is an amazing part of the area but the surrounding geology is even better!

Great views from here along the cliffs, very rugged! Nice to walk around on a lovely day. It was rather windy the day we visited but didn't take away from the beauty of the area.

We were stunned by the beauty of the coast by the lighthouse. The cliffs show the folds in the rock and leave you in awe. Well worth the drive to the tip of Lewis.
