A regular boat trip from Mull / Ulva ferry in summer visits the Treshnish Isles , now uninhabited . This gives a great opportunity to view seabirds including puffins and spectacular scenery . Stout footwear and clothing required ; a fantastic trip

The puffins apparently depart Lunga at the beginning of August so it seems unlikely they would be there in the numbers normally experienced during the breeding season (April to July).
