This musem has a little bit of everything. It is a small, free, local museum, so don't expect expensive artwork. We found exhibits about local nature, ancient peoples, more recent Scottish history, fiber and clothing displays (like information about tartan plaids), WWII paraphernalia, etc. If...More

I love little local museums and this place is no exception. They have nice exhibits on the local area and a more extensive collection of Jacobite artifacts, which makes it a great stop for anyone interested in the area.

I loved this museum. Everything about it. I could have stayed for hours if not for having a train to catch. Ian the volunteer was very helpful with great stories. The exhibits are first rate. I will return to Fort William as a destination.

Learn about the beginnings of commandoes, see their equipment, watch them training. this was an excellent display. Local history, Scotland's natural history, archeology and mountaineering, Victorian and traditional costumes of the past...More

Unfortunately, we didn't locate this little gem of a museum until shortly before closing time. Had we discovered it earlier, I'm sure we could easily have spent a couple of hours viewing the exhibits, many of which have been donated by local citizens and are,...More
