We knew nothing about this distillery but decided to visit since it was very near our hotel in Fort William. They have a good selection here. Note that there is not really a tasting room here - i.e. You pay 5 pounds for a tour...More

As someone who enjoys a good dram, but who knows embarrassingly little about how whisky is actually produced, the opportunity to get a guided tour of the Ben Nevis distillery whilst on holiday in the area seemed too good to miss. The tour was preceded...More

For £5 you get to see an old movie, having nothing to do with the making of whisky whatsoever. After that, you are told that the distillery isn't working this month but we will show you around. After 30min of standard bla bla, you get...More

Didn’t get to see much of a working distillery. The distillery itself seems run down and only used it show tourists around. The whole experience left me not wanting to buy Ben Nevis Whisky. In my opinion not worth a visit.More

We were staying in Fort William for a week and wanted to make a visit to the distillery one of the first things we did (mainly so I had whisky to enjoy in the evenings). We tried to visit on the Sunday and booked in...More

We visited the brewery with the intention of going on a tour. After being ignored by the man in reception despite being the only people there, we decided not to bother and left soon afterwards. Shame.More

Hi Roslyn, We are sorry that you were ignored. I will make sure that this doesn't happen again. We always encourage our customers to ask if they need anything - I can only assume the member of staff was handling an email booking (as this...More

Have done several tours in different Scottish distilleries and have tasted over the years really good Ben Nevis single malts. Crossing the distillery on the way north and though why not vising them. The shown film at the beginning of the tour is unique if...More

As a whiskey lover I cannot come to Scotland and not visit the distillery. We went for the standard (faillté) tour for £5 which allows one tasting, but you can go for the tasting tour for £18 which allows four tastings. Our guide was very...More
