This part of Scotland certainly offers stunning views, almost around every corner - and there are lots of corners! One thing that we learnt pretty early on this trip is that the suggested time to take certain trips, provided by Google, Apple etc are generally...More

Although the train trip from Fort William to Mallaig seems to be on every tourist’s bucket list, I actually prefer to do the journey by car, simply because you can do it at your own pace and stop whenever you like. The scenery en-route is...More

After missing out on pre-booking tickets for the Jacobite Steam Train, (Fort William to Mallaig return) we decided to drive the route on the same day and time as the Train. After passing 'Neptune's Ladder' Locks we passed through some stunning Highland scenery before arriving...More

If you are going this far north, then this journey is a must. The most spectacular scenery and view's of mountain's and loch's that you will see anywhere in Scotland.

We rode this on the motorcycle after taking the ferry from Armadale. It's nothing short of mind blowing! The colours of the scenery and constantly changing landscape make it a must do and comparable to the Antrim coast drive in Northern Ireland

It is about a 1hr 35mins journey from Fort William to Mallaig, and goes through some beautiful countryside, including Neptune's Staircase, which is a long flight of locks on the Caledonian Cana, and over the Harry Potter rail viaduct. Truly a case of keeping your...More
