Easily accesible, good original 800 year old stonework, and free to enter. Great for a 20 minute visit. Robert the Bruce was 'ere.

Not a lot left to see, but gives an idea of what it once was. Apparently queen Victoria viseted here and was not impressed, worth visiting but only if you're passing.

The place is fenced and dangerous to get into, what is visible from the outside is not remarkable. Interesting history, but not a great stop.

We want to as castles and this is one so we went. Even in ruins it is still imposing and evokes thoughts odd what must have been.

We stopped on our way back from the Nevis Gondola experience. (watch for the signs). Nice castle ruins. Interesting history to read. Only need about 20 minutes here, but we enjoyed it.

Did a quick detour whilst walking the Great Glen Way to look around. It's not very big, but you can still see quite a lot of the the corner towers, and the information panels give a good idea of what it looked like. It is...More

Nestled next to a river this old ruin has some beautiful sight to see. We were there just after 10:00 in the morning and what a surprise to hear and see the Jacobite express steam roller by - wished we could have gone on it...More

We stopped here for a quick look around on our Outlander tour. The castle is definitely a ruin, and there isn't much left, so it won't take long.
