Great stained glass

A lovely cathedral full of interesting sculptures and a mass of stained glass. We wandered round and found lots to see.

This is a beautiful Cathedral, both inside and outside. It's situated on the river bank and is also lovely to see from the other side of the bank. Inside it is lovely and peaceful. A must-see when in Inverness.

Beautiful arhitecture in a beautiful landscape of Scotland highlands. It can be spiced by the legend of Loch Ness monster :)

It is not anyhow special, but if You are in Inverness, then probably it is nice to take 10 mintes in here. There You cna find some interesting fact on the history of the church. In the surroundings You will find typical Scottish spirit of 1900's. The area was really worth to visit.

Beautiful building. Open nearly all day. Said a prayer for all. Including you. A great deal of good historical facts. Keep well JB.

Loved it. Great architecture and the fact that we could walk up and down all troughout made it even better. No hidden spots or closed areas. Quiet place to pray and the architecture is superb.

We found the church rather dull and uninspiring though to be fair our friends visited the next day when the entrance was manned by ladies of the church who gave them a warm welcome

Thank you for your review and feedback about the Cathedral in Inverness. The Cathedral has volunteers who offer a welcome. During the peak of the tourist time we have people everyday to offer a welcome, and always have printed guides available for the rest of the year. More

The stained windows are lovely and the cathedral was very calming. Disappointed the organ is only a digital one not a big pipe organ. The cathedral is situated on the banks of the river and is in a lovely setting. Worth a visit if visiting Inverness.

Management response:

Thank you for your review following your visit to the Cathedral. The organ was recently replaced with the digital organ. The digital organ has a great sound similar to a pipe organ. It was replaced as the cost of restoring the pipe organ was prohibitive. Music is still a very important part of the worship at the Cathedral. More

Impressive, the windows are lovely to look at and the ceiling is something to study. One of the wall plaques is in memory of a young woman who died within a year of marriage, which made me think of my Father's Mother who died 4 weeks after he was born, it is a place to reflect what has passed.
