This is a nice walk of a couple of kilometres from the city core. IT's small, but very enjoyable, with an especially attractive outdoor section that's sheltered from the nearby city and adjacent recreational facilities. The cafe is terrific

The Botanic Gardens is situated near the leisure centre. The best part for me is the glasshouse where you can find a wonderful display of exotic plants no matter what time of year. Not the largest botanical gardens but worth a visit none the less.

While enjoying a bike tour with Alison of Inverness bike tours, we stopped for a few minutes to see the gardens. A great gem in the city. Great layout and array of different plants is astounding.

Only a small garden but a tropical and desert hot house plus other areas. Nicely kept. Good basic information. AND free to get in. Not a major destination but worth a look if you have an hour to spare. Also cafe but did not use.
