Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

Loch Ness

Had a lovely tour if a bit cold one on Loch Ness. Urqhart Castle was the highlight of the tour with lots to see and lovely views.

Jacobite Cruises offers a variety of cruises along the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness. We chose the four-hour trip and it was spectacular. The crew was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make the trip grand. Our guide Kenny was not only knowledgeable and friendly, but his voice, commentary, and sense of humor made this trip better than expected. The... More

We took the two hour tour which gave us time to look around the castle. The trip their was interesting with the audio telling the passengers about the history of the loch. The crew were very friendly and helpful and the boat was clean tidy and in good order.

Can't argue with the spectacular views and the commentary was a nice balance between Loch Ness monster and highland heritage.

The guide Allan was great- knowledgeable, friendly, professional. The bus ride, cruise, and castle tour are well worth it. Total trip around 4 hours- a true bargain for the time and trip.

My group did the 2 hour Freedom tour, which was absolutely perfect. We spent a half hour on board a boat on the Loch, enjoying the beautiful views and information presented over loudspeaker. We were then allotted an hour to spend at Urquart Castle to explore on our own. This worked out great for my group, who had a shorter... More

It was the trip to do with the hope of seeing Nessie, but never expecting too. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide made it all the more interesting with the way he told the stories. So much to learn about the area other than Nessie. Stopped at Urquhart Castle an then the bus ride back. The driver was excellent and... More

There are a few different tours you can take to see Loch Ness. We did the Jacobite tour that included a boat ride to Urkhart Castle. This was well worth doing but I suggest you have good weather since the tour of the castle would not be very good in the rain and neither would the boat ride. Jacobite runs... More

No complaints here. A lovely boat ride from the clansman to Glen Urquhart Castle for a tour, and the boat back. Knowledgeable and friendly guides and good food in the cafe, and as boat lovers, just a lovely experience on the loch. As a local, will be bringing friends for tours whenever they visit! Top few hours out x
