It's beautiful. The coast line is rugged and seemingly endless. As you travel around you get many views of it.

A nice beach, with very few people around. Fantastic views - and on a sunny day would be great for some relaxation on the sands.

We were lucky enough to stay in Ackergill Tower and this was our view. It is a lovely place I would recommend to go see.

The sandy beach to families might be more appealing and are not visited by many people out walking. So they are apparently unknown. There is the castle to visit and the lighthouse which is for sale.

We were travelling down from John O groats and came across this beach, very nice, used by the locals, great sand, great water and views. Only thing that spoiled it was the dog owners who do not pick up after themselves.

You can safely walk along the sands towards the construction site at Wester where the oil pipelines are welded together. You may be very lucky and see one of the... More

Had a potter round the bay having been at Castle Sinclair. Lovely beach and rock pooling opportunities, numerous little villages, many with access to the bay and piers and lots of brochs.
