Two trips this summer involving ten visiting friends of all ages from 8 to 80. Down the coast to Whaligoe Steps and harbour via the stacks, geos (small fjords) and caves which define the spectacular Caithness coastal scenery and make it totally unique. The earlier trip in May was when the cliff nesting birds are nearing their peak with fulmars,... More

We booked this up and took all 4 kids. We all had a brilliant time, the trip was exciting and interesting with lots of insights from our guide. The whole thing was well organised from booking to the boat trip itself. Top marks!

The shoreline is very rugged in places exposed to the open sea with sea caves and arches in places mostly on the north and west areas exposed to the Atlantic and Pentland Firth. On the North Sea side it is more subdued shoreline and sunny. The beaches are in the bay areas receded from the headlands. Some are more populated... More

What a great experience this was and so informative. As a local it was wonderful to see the land from the sea, with all its rock formations, caves etc. and to visit the little fishing inlets/harbours. A very informative commentary was given on the history and wildlife. Highly recommended.

As a local I love to see our landscapes and nature from all perspectives. The fact that I get to splash in a speedboat makes these trips all the more fun. I have tried several with this company and yesterday went all the way to the Whaligoe steps. As always safety and consideration for their passengers is premuim. I have... More

Really good, saw sea lions bobbing around the boat, jelly fish, great scenery and really informative guide. 11 year old son was grinning all the way finally got him off Pokemon (briefly).

Having booked at the last minute, we were really pleased to have taken the 90 minute excursion south from Wick harbour to the inlet at Whaligoe Steps. The skipper, William Munroe, was a font of information not only about the various abundant wildlife but also the formation of the cave network and impressive cliffs visited during the cruise. Having visited... More

One of the highlights of our vacation, especially for our teen daughters. I can strongly recommend the 1,5 trip which was very informative and interesting. Wonderful views from the sea at the beach and rocks, caves and falls, wildlife, etc. The skipper should get an award as educational trainer, my daughters learned more in this 1,5 hour than in a... We did the one and a half hour trip - but it went on longer. The guide pointed out wildlife and had an abundant knowledge of the local history. The boat went through rock formations and into caves - and we finished with a journey at speed back to Wick Harbour. Would thoroughly recommend.
