The wide open spaces and unrivalled views from Dunnet Head are among the best in the area with the bonus of the nearby Dunnet Bay which has great beach with tall sund dunes and miles of sand . It is also a nature/ bird reserve with observation platforms , cafe and toilet facilities attached to a caravan club sitec

Very impressive lighthouse and some outbuildings from world war 2 still eerily exist as they needed to keep lookout there in case of invasion.

Our hosts at Mey House had advised us of the best viewing spot and were weren't disappointed. Great views of the birds nesting on the cliffs and thanks to the young lads there that pointed out the various... More

While doing the North Coast 500 route, we stopped at Dunnet Head. It was exceptionally windy the day we visited so unfortunately didn't stay for long but it's definetly worth a visit. The site offers lots of information boards, has a good path to the viewing point and good parking facilities. Great views and good area for bird spotting.

Lovely drive down to the view. The wind on the day was very strong but this seemed to add to the atmosphere of the occasion. I was last here around 8 years ago and the improvements made were good. I like the path that leads down to the coast and the new sign to see it is the furthest point... More
