THIS is the most northern point! (NOT John O'Groats). So for that reason alone it's worth a visit, although there's not much here apart from a lighthouse, some WW2 buildings and lookouts, and some truly spectacular, 360° panoramic views. On a clear day you get good views of Orkney, including the top of The Old Man of Hoy in the distance.

Dunnet Head is always great to visit at any time of the year. It is the focal point of the North Highland Way. We looked at Heathsfield, a little woodland on the Head.

Stunning scenery and also little inlets on the road that we stopped at the make a coffee, sheltered from the wind, ideal for camper vans, total darkness at night also, and no noise whatsoever

Lovely views & walks. Lots of sign posts and information. On a clear day you can see the other Islands.

Worth the drive - beautiful views, not crowded, good bird watching, peaceful. This is northern most point in Britain. Come here and not touristy crowded John O’Groats.

We visited here on our trip round the North Coast 500. The beach is beautiful, and the lighthouse stunning. Lots of sea birds can be viewed - take binoculars!

the day we visited the road was shut so we left the car and walked 2.5 miles up to the head. Good views from up there and this is the most northern part of the mainland. Apparently orcas has been seen but they did show for us

A lovely spot in Scotland and a must see especially if doing the North coast 500! Great views and puffin spotting is a must even on a foggy day!

Very disappointed after long drive. No warning of road closure, no parking… didn’t seem to want visitors!! Will not be coming back and wouldn’t recommend!
