A great way to see a lot in one day....

They do an excellent job of getting you from John O Groats to the Orkney's, show you a great deal of history and get you back in time to catch the last ferry back to the mainland... read more

They do an excellent job of getting you from John O Groats to the Orkney's, show you a great deal of history and get you back in time to catch the last ferry back to the mainland. check the weather however....we had to delay our trip by a day due to 75 mph winds and rough seas......

A little pricey on paper, but probably the cheapest way of getting to see the highlights of the lovely Orkney isles. Our tour guide Steph was excellent.

After making a spur of the moment decision to break my taboo on organized tour groups, I was very pleasantly surprised with this trip. We were not treated as cattle, and had ample time in Kirkhall and Stromness to do ones own thing.

The tour was a good introduction to the Isle, if a little rushed. The ferry journey is unavoidably rough ( small boat in the swell does not make for a smooth crossing). The tour focuses on the history of the islands mostly and I felt was more geared to the older end of the market. It was quite enjoyable however... More

The tour starts with a ferry from John O'Groats to The Orkney Islands. The bus meets the ferry and the tour of the islands is very informative, clearly defined and comprehensive. Time is allowed for additional sightseeing on foot. Stops are well arranged and include planned comfort stops. There are options for additional admissions to sites (well worth the extra... More

Amazing sunny day and what a wonderful trip. The coach driver was so informative and enthusiastic. We were blown away by the history of Orkney. Our only complaint was we ran out of time . Would love to come back especially to Skara brae as we rushed round conscious we were quite a walk from the bus.

Was staying in Helmsdale and took the day trip over to Orkney on Tuesday 30th August. Found the the day really interesting. We were a party aged 12-92 and everyone had a great day out. Alan the driver/guide was a fountain of knowledge on the local area and history. Would recommend the trip to anyone who is near the area... More

Having stayed overnight in John O Groats, it was a leisurely stroll down tomthe jetty to catch thecearly ferry to the Islands. Forty minutes later, after a smooth crossing of the Pentland Firth, we disembarked at Burwick where our luxury coach and driver Stuart were waiting for us. Our tour lasted all day and took in all the major sights... More

This is a great day out to Orkney. This tour takes you to all the places to see and the driver tells you lots of stories about what you see. We had a long, but great day. I recommend this over the Highlights tour as you see more and you have more time at various stops.

Took this tour mainly with the intention of visiting Skara Brae and was really glad I did. The coach driver/tour guide was extremely informative, his anecdotes and banter made the trip. Skara Brae itself was excellent, both the preserved remains and the reconstruction which you can walk round. All gave you a feel for how life must have been. Admission... More
