I will be brief. In common with most of the other reviewers here, the time we spent at Aigas was very special. We stayed for an 'Aigas Wildlife Week', during which time we were enthralled, educated and treated to the most wonderful hospitality. Simply put, it was a stunning experience. The programmes seem to be well subscribed, so if you... More

My first visit to a very special place. All the staff are very knowledge and welcoming. Totally spoilt by Lady Lucy and her team. Dr David Dixon a mine of wonderful information about deer and almost everything else! An absolute delight. Thank you Aigas team for a wonderful time.

I concur with the praise from others for the standard week at Aigas. This is a special place. Every interaction with the staff at all levels was wonderful: * office staff -- Sheila and Marjorie * the rangers -- knowledgeable, cheerful, resourceful * the owners -- Sir John and Lady Lucy * even the kitchen staff (sorry I did not... I’ll start with a description of the individual elements of a stay at Aigas, with the caveat that the sum of each component, all excellent, doesn’t come close to approaching the whole. A stay at Aigas is a magical, unforgettable experience. The cabins are as they appear in photos. They are basic, sturdy, and well-maintained. They’re not charming; they aren’t... More

Already a "veteran' of Aigas Field Centre, they still manage to suprise me! I had an wonderful week visting various locations of historical interest, accompanied by the usual extremely knowledgeable rangers! And again as usual, both food, accomodation and services were outstanding!

Road Scholar had a very small and wonderful group of 13 who had a wonderful learning experience in the Aigas Field Centre in Beauly, Scotland...it was a magnificent trip. We saw a great deal of the Highlands, and learned about birds, insects, trees, the rivers, history, the large animals, lochs, and I got to see a pine martin feeding at night... More

Aigas Field Centre is the creation of Sir John and Lady Lucy Lister-Kaye, and what a creation it is. It is a combination of love of the land and love of place, natural habitat restoration, and education. It is done with a passion that is contagious, and it is done well. The week is spent on the grounds of the... More

This is an amazing retreat in the Scottish Highlands. Guests stay in cottages on the property of a beautiful Scottish Manor house. Hosts Sir John and Lady Lucy treat you as family. Meals are amazing. From the time you arrive until you leave you are treated like family, royal family by Sr. John and Lady Lucy. The cabins in the woods are cozy and well appointed. The meals, mostly prepared by Lady Lucy are so wonderful you don't want to leave. A purchase of her cook book is a must! It is a beautiful central... More
