The very best I have played. An impeccable standard of course, absolutely perfect condition. Staff are very friendly and helpful, this is a long course so a buggy hire would be even quicker.

I had the mushroom and garlic flat bread and fries, very tasty and filling. Also had a late with my meal as I watched the roe deer in the grounds by the lochan.

Beautiful golf course that is incredibly scenic. Beware it is very long with some long walks between green and next tee. I would definately buy a stroke saver as there are quite a few blind shots. Disappointing pro shop, it's about the size of a cupboard. Really enjoyed the course though and will definately return.

The course was in immaculate condition, very fast greens and hard fairways. The views of the mountains and lakes are surreeal. Excellent vaule for money, particularly if you play after 15:00 when the light is mystical too. The clubhouse is very pretty(have a look at the lounges / showers). The Pro-Shop is badly equipped, unfortunately. The staff are super friendly.

I am used to long tough courses. Play at Dalmahoy and Muirfield. And play off a plus handicap. But this is just too tough. Played it 5 times out of 6 days every time the Tees were right back squeezing every yard out of the course, no matter what the conditions. Good courses are FUN, changing the set up to... More

Not that cheap, but then something special shouldnt be cheap, the Spey Valley Golf Course snakes its way along the river Spey, indeed when the rain blasts down sometimes the Spey comes up and floods parts of the course, but that doesn't happen too often. Very scenic with traditional forest and heather, this course can have deceiving parts, take a... More

A great test for any golfer. Which probably explains why this course is used on the European challenger tour. It may boast a hefty green fee in some publications, but if you are staying in the area for a week or so, deals are to be had. The course was exceptionally quiet all week July 2nd - 8th. If you... Played here for the second time last week. Course was in good shape and we enjoyed our game. Very disappointed in clubhouse staff. There was no effort to provide good service, We arrived early to have a coffee and a bacon roll to be told there was no chef even though there was a menu on display. Even after the... More

Spey Valley is definitely a course to play in the summer, always a late developer because of the weather. Once ready it is one of the finest in the Highlands, a long testing but fair course with the longest par 5 in Scotland. Have played there a few times now and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Deals always available, no need... More
