Signed-up for the Ranger-escorted Land Rover experience across the estate for a couple of hours.....worth every penny!!! Julian (the Ranger) was SO good at informing, educating and making us feel so welcome. The session included viewing Highland Cows, being immersed in the superb forested estate countryside, hand-feeding some of the estate deer (we just pulled up in an empty field,... More

We stopped off here on our way up to the mountain railway. Very useful place for picking up information on local attractions from helpful staff. Nice tea room for a brew and a cake.

A wonderful adventure playground for all! We have spent many happy times exploring the landscape, taking part in activities and enjoying the surroundings. It has so much to offer and costs very little too! We will continue to enjoy what Rothiemurchus has to offer for many years to come!

Unfortunately we didn't manage to get on to any of the activities on offer here but the area itself and the walks are beautiful. And then lunch or cake to follow afterwards in the cafe - perfect! Lentil soup, Cullen Skink, cakes - all delicious. Smashing place!

This was the first time for both my daugher and I to try Clay Pigeon Shooting. We had Simon as our instructor... he was the most AMAZING instructor!!! Kind, patient, and experienced! I honestly didn't think I hit any "pigeons", but we both hit quite a few... because of his teaching! Great experience!!!

We hired bikes and went along the forest rails in the ice and snow to the Loch. Beautiful scenery and an exhilarating experience. Slow gradual climb all the way there - and some fab free wheel down hills on the way back.

This was a fun and exciting activity. I went with my husband and adult children and although we had been on Segways in a city a few years prior it was definitely really exciting to do it again. The instructor George was very informative and patient and gradually built up our experience until we were going up and down little hills.... We had the best time quad biking with Mike (who runs the quad bike company that is based at Rothiemurchus Estate). He was a great guide, and considered everyone's ability (or lack of) and we all had fun. Small group of six (I don't think they take any more than that in any one session). We saw the highland cattle... More
