If you like to shop I would recommend this as something different to shopping in Glasgow city. If its a bargain your after you... More

The west end is the best end of Glasgow. Some of the best restaurants and bars not to mention Byres Road. Love the food and the up market feel of the place. It's one to visit if your out and about and be sure to check some of the restaurants.

Good on a sunny day but that's rare in Glasgow! We enjoyed a walk around the local park and there were some amazing buskers too.

I lived in the West End of Glasgow and it a surprisingly nice place. That may sound somewhat like damning it with faint praise, but it's really pretty good. There are a good deal of nice very unique restaurants and some really nice walks too. It can be a little busy and noisy, but ultimately well worth checking out.

Easy to get to on the underground, you'll find a range of interesting shops. Make sure you spend an hour in the Botanical gardens and greenhouses. Plenty to see all year round here. For the evening, a visist to Ashton Lane is a must -with a great variety bars and restaurants to choose from.

Moved back to Glasgow 11 years ago and just love the West End, it reminds of Covent Garden in London with the old cobbled stones streets, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, book shops, bars and even The Grosvenor Cinema in Ashton lane. It has a very nice relaxing feel, I feel so happy whilst walking down Byres Road. It is a pretty... More

Great shops, pubs and eateries all within easy walking distance of subway link. As well as Byres road walk along Great Western Road. The food shops and deli's are excellent. Almost every ethnic taste catered for. Ashton lane is particularly nice. I could easily spend all day here. Love this area

Absolutely love the architecture in this city! My all time favourite spot is Kelvingrove museum which has an array of wonderful art and at no cost . kelvingrove park which is just across the rd from the museum is stunning in winter but I would love to visit in the summer months especially as it has a large band stand....
