Lovely old theatre

The theatre itself is less important than the show on offer so this will be brief. There is plenty of street parking in the surrounding area, free in the evening. Staff are... read more

I attend a lot of comedy events, and have therefore travelled around the country and been to different venues. I particularly like old theatres, as I feel that it adds to the show. At present, the Kings Theatre is the best venue I have been to! I was lucky enough to get front row tickets, so not only did I... More

Bought tickets for Sean Locke for my husbands birthday and had to leave before the first interval as I could not see any of the stage! Did not realise when I purchased the tickets that the seats were in the gallery and unfortunately there was a rather tall, large man sitting at the seat in front so basically all I... More

The theatre itself is less important than the show on offer so this will be brief. There is plenty of street parking in the surrounding area, free in the evening. Staff are pleasant and make it easy to get in quickly to your seats. Bar is overpriced and has limited selection but no different to any theatre.

We went to see the David Essex concert. The only seats still available were up in the gallery so we were a bit nervous but no need. The acoustics are tremendous and we had a great view of David on the stage. The theatre is beautiful, big enough to have a nice atmosphere but small enough to make you feel... More

Went to see this fabulous show which tells the true story of the one night in Memphis at Sun studios when a young Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins all met by chance with Sam Phillips the owner of Sun Records. the story tells of how they had a jamming session together backing each other with... Visited this theatre for David Essex concert. The building is outstanding. It is lovely to see an old theatre that has character. The show was fantastic. Sound quality is superb. The only negative is the heat it is unbearable as we were in the upper circle. All it needs is a little ventilation and it would make all the difference.

Me and my mum are frequent visitors to the kings theatre and would definitely rate it as the best theatre in Glasgow. Fantastic shows, amazing audience and a beautiful setting. We will be visiting again this weekend to see David Essex and I just know the kings won't disappoint! If you get the chance to visit this fantastic venue then... More

It's probably under exaggerating to say my Gran, Mum and Myself are in the Kings alot. Therefore I can understand the reviews complaining that in recent years it has lost its sparkle slightly! A once grand builiding that could be doing with slight renovation, it's no where near as Glamourous as I remember it to be as a child. (Example:... More
