A great place to visit if you want to see Indy and mainstream films. Good atmosphere and an excellent range of films. Seating could be better in some of the cinemas. Would recommend.

Usually go here every December to see It's a Wonderful Life. It's a great atmosphere and everyone claps at the end. The location is great to get to, only 2 cinema screens at the location. Will be back again this year.

As a Glaswegien I love the GFT. A small independent cinema just off the beaten path, the GFT let's you enjoy the romance of old time cinema. Small auditoriums with beautiful surroundings, perfect if you love film but are perhaps not so keen on the...More

It has been absolute years since I had been in this venue, I didn't have high hopes but it has been refurbished, and nicely so. The ambience is lovely, the staff friendly(I love the whole steward with a torch touch), seats are comfortable. All in...More

Superb to find a cinema that shows classics, documentaries, art films etc but the leg room in the cinema is not good . Neither of us are tall but along with many others we were having to sit " sideways in the seats to stretch...More

Hi Bella, glad you like our film selection. As an old cinema we are aware of the need to upgrade some areas, and the seating in screens 1 and 2 is one of those areas. We've just completed phase 2 of an extensive redevelopment, focusing...More

Recently saw I Daniel Blake at the GFT. Love the venue. Sadly couldn't make it for the Film Festival but will definitely visit again when next in the city.

I went recently for Glasgow Film Festival. I was pleasantly surprised by how large the screens were. The cinema presents a good atmosphere and also has a small bar.

The GFT has managed to hold on to it's charming old cinema feel. The films are always varied and it's nice to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine before, during or after the film. The place is always very clean and staff helpful.

I love the GFT for the cosy ambience and the feeling of stepping back in time. The "cafe" is a bar predominantly so don't expect lots of cakes on display. Was there yesterday and saw two pieces of lonely caramel shortcake on sale, wee tubs...More
