A Beautiful 18th century House.

This house has a splendid collection of Spanish paintings. Unfortunately the El Greco portrait of a young girl was not there. Not sure when it will be returned. Lovely house... read more

Was under rennovation when we visited. Rather dirty and dusty inside. Docent was knowledgeable. Gardens outside where my favorite part.

Visited Pollok House for the first time and even though spent my childhood at my grandmothers in Pollok never knew this existed and what a delight. It's a beautiful Victorian manor and staff dressed for the occasion showing you around the house. The grounds and park are fabulous with the river running through at the bottom of the house. Families... More

Visited Pollock house today, first visit and will definitely be back. We joined the tour, of the servants quarters with our guide Jennie MacLeod who is a incredibly informative volunteer who is a credit to the establishment and the national trust, she guided us in and out various rooms on the lower level of the house telling us the history... Great service in the cafe. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and our sandwiches were served quickly. Thick slices of bread and ham with salad and crisps made it very filling. The shop in Pollok House has a good range of quality goods.

Just thought id visit this place as the weather was good and found it easy to park and free parking even better the view of the house is amazing straight onto a golf course, the house seems to be getting work done at the rear to the entrance and workers just staire at you when your walking past. The house... More

Embarrassed to say I had never visited until last summer when I joined the National Trust for Scotland. The house was being refurbished at the time and all the scaffolding was up (this also meant some of the art work was not on show for insurance reasons) but it was still very interesting and I had a lovely lunch in... I love Pollok Park, such a beautiful place for a walk. I've been visiting the park and cafe for years on a regular basis and always had a good experience until yesterday. After our walk we decided to go to the cafe for lunch. There was a small queue when we arrived. We don't mind waiting, however to stand for... More

Although I am originally from Glasgow, Pollok House and its environs were way beyond the boundaries of my home patch, so it is not a place with which I am overly familiar, however, on Sunday afternoon, I found myself, with my husband and daughter, being conducted down a corridor to an area of the building not normally available to the...
