Just seen Star Wars rogue one at the IMAX in Glasgow. Took my nephew (great excuse) and had a fantastic time. Picture and 3D experience was fantastic, the sounds was astonishing. IMAX is next to the science centre, there parking cost £5 for the 3 hours we were there. This is the biggest screen in Scotland and really looks like... More

Been to the IMAX a few times now. Its hard to describe how brilliant an experience it is to watch a movie on a screen this size. Watched 2D and 3D films on here - all are just brilliant. Picture is amazing, as is the sound. If you can get in reasonably quickly, best heading up the back if you... More

Watched Dr Strange in here and what an experience it was! Far better than regular 3d films and I look forward to another visit in the near future. Bit more expensive than standard cinemas but it is worth the extra money. Give it a go

This cinema is brilliant. Delightful staff, I think the manager is a well-dressed Asian guy, he's always upbeat and helpful. Guys on the Box Office too are great. Image and sound quality are unsurpassed in Glasgow. Cineworld in town is a total waste of money in comparison. Filled with talking people, people eating and the morbidly obese. The IMAX cinema... Well what can I say about our first visit to Cineworld's IMAX cinema in Glasgow? Wow! Wow! Wow! We went into see Dr Strange and were totally blown away by the visual and auditory experience. Right from the initial introduction to the joys of IMAX we felt totally immersed in the experience. Once the film started the full effect of... More

I recently saw two films at the Glasgow IMAX, one of which was in 3D. Having the large screen ad he 3D effect greatly enhanced the experience and I would certainly recommend IMAX for 3D. For the normal 2D film it was little different from viewing in a standard cinema.

With advance booking and logging in with Facebook this was not much more expensive than our local multiplex! Comfy seats. Surround sound great left, right, front , rear, above and under seats! 3D experience great! Seats on a steep enough slope so that the person in front head does not get in the way!

Haven’t been to the IMAX in a few years and decided that Star Trek Beyond in 3D was a good way to return. Booked great seats online and was able to get one of the seats at half price through Meerkat movies. The screen here really is a big step up from other local cinemas and depending on the movie... Just come from a screening of Star Trek Beyond. The picture quality was absolutely terrible - like a massie youtube video or pirate dvd. The picture was washed out, flat and had horrendous motion blur. 3D was virtually non-existent. The doors opened late because they claimed to be a calibration problem. Clearly not fixed. All 3 of us were disappointed... More
