Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1901 and built in the attractive setting of Bellahouston Park in the 1990s, House for an Art Lover allows the visitor an insight into Mackintosh's renowned talent not just as an architect, but as a an artist, designer and pioneer of the Modern Movement. The venue runs regular arts themed events and is home to the popular Art Lover's Cafe.

I visited here recently for a friends wedding. The venue was beautiful even though I only got to see a small part of it. The staff were friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

Was in for afternoon tea, Lovely! Cannot fault. Staff very attentive and a lovely little shop attached. The small museum attached is very interesting.

A great venue and attraction recently refurbished and run as an events and arts venue. Ideal for meetings, conferences, weddings and dinners but also has an artistic community project on site so worth a visit in it's own right if that's your thing.More

Family meal for 14 including 2 members with severe allergies. The menu was clear concerning the ingredients and staff were vigilant in ensuring that meals/ drinks containing the allergens were highlighted. Kids meals were lovely - no "yellow food" in sight, which was refreshing!More

Check their website as it does weddings also and the exhibition changes its opening times upto a week at a time. The cafe has separate opening times and is open to the public more frequent.

Sorry I can answer your question. I was leading a tour, which means the bus driver got us there, with the help of a local who served as a private guide. I bet it's really beautiful there now that summer has arrived. Enjoy!
