This was our first visit to Citizens Theatre and we loved it. The show we saw was well set out and had a good view. The cast were brilliant. Staff friendly, clean public areas but drinks are expensive. We would visit again.

I happened to be given tickets to a production at the theatre which I had never been to before. Easy to get to taking the subway to Bridge street. Found the staff friendly and welcoming, a good café and bar. Toilets were clean and well kept. Only saw the studio theatre upstairs but would like to come back and sample... More

This is a fairly small theatre but, surprisingly, has a car park. Lovely café/bar area on entry and easy to order interval drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful. The auditorium is a little worn and dated but well maintained. I felt that this added to the atmosphere of the place. All in all, a pleasant visit.

We went for our yearly panto to the Citz and were not dissappointed. This was a different take on an old favourite - Hansel and Gretel with a circus theme. Great cast, good music and all in all a good night out.

I had wanted to visit the Citizens Theatre for years, knowing that it has an outstanding reputation. My husband simply had to tell me about a surprise that he was planning, which was a weekend in Glasgow, including a trip to see "The Rivals" by Sheridan. On the day of our visit we arrived at the theatre to attend a... More

The Citz has been a perennial favourite venue and the current production of The Rivals is very much in tune with the excellent reputation that this theatre has for top notch productions with high values and crisp direction. The auditorium itself has not changed greatly over the years, but foyer is looking a little shabby these days. The central bar... More

We're really pleased to read that you enjoyed The Rivals but we're sorry that your experience was not all it could be. You're quite right, we're well overdue an upgrade to our facilities - our beloved theatre is in need of a bit of TLC! We're currently fundraising for the most comprehensive redevelopment of the building since it opened in... More

I love this theatre! Enjoyed the Rivals experience. Good wee coffee/herbal tea bar but would have liked a bigger selection of muffins( there was only chocolate ).

I have not been I. The Citizen's for thirty years, now I realise I have missed a lot of time. It's charming inside. The stairs are gentle and not to plentiful and has toilets on all levels. I got an overall impression of grandure in miniature. There is a bar on the ground floor which unfortunately does not do food.... More

I am so glad I gave a chance to Trainspotting today. An incredibly talented Lorn Macdonald (Ewan McGregor, step down!) and his brilliant costars are just the icing on the cake in an impressive version of this modern classic. Plus, the theatre feels like home, as everyone is genuinely interested in making you part of the experience. 10/10, will come... More
