I like how you can get around by escalator all the way to the top and quite a few modern displays on show.

Great place to visit if you are interested in architecture and modern art. A lot to see and admire, have also interactive pieces for not only kids to play a bit.

Not worth the effort...closest train station is Glasgow Central and then a short 6 minute walk The view is nothing spectacular....only saw roofs of buildings and houses. It's only 120 degree view! Not a 360 view 🙄 Waste of time....go shopping instead!

I visited this place with a friend, unsure of what it was until we started visiting it... Is a centre of design and architecture, a visitor centre and an exhibition space situated in the heart of Glasgow. They also promote design and architecture. You can visit from films and comics to building materials and different item' designs. Of course, I... More

this is a great old city attraction and another freebie. It is an old newspaper building circa WW1 and was styled by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. There are art displays on several levels, a souvenir shop and cafe. At the top of the wonderful spiral staircase is an outside gallery with a breathtaking vista of the roofs of Glasgow!

We visited the Lighthouse for two reasons. Firstly for the Mackintosh art exhibition which is a delight. There are lots of fascinating details about this great designer. The other reason was to have the opportunity to climb the extra 150 steps from the top floor to get an amazing view of Glasgow. Apart from these two reasons to visit, we... More

An interesting collection of Mackintosh furniture and history. Also other changing exhibitions. The climb up the tower is great for views over the rooftops. There is also a modern viewing platform accessible by lift, where I was pleasantly greeted by a guy playing the piano. Delightful.
