We tried to use public transportation and walk where possible during our time in Glasgow. Getting to the distillery involved a couple of transfers. One interesting thing we noted was that all bus stops on the same road had the same name. So unless we counted the stops accurately, it was difficult to identify where to get off. The distillery was a little over a mile from where we eventually started to walk. The neighborhood was kind of industrial and not very interesting. However there were some very interesting murals (maybe graffiti) on walls along the way. Also, a walkway bridge over a divided 4 lane highway had interesting views. The distillery itself is rather new and does not have a range of products, though they carry other brands. We did not take a tour but tasted the two in-home options at the bar. We tried the desert menu and that was great. Again, we were not hungry so we did not try the food options.

An excellent way to spend a couple of hours. Probably most relevant for novices but a nice introduction to whisky Our guide, Kosma, was very interesting and informative and took time to answer the group’s questions. An enjoyable couple of hours and the cafe/gift shop were lovely.

Very insightful if you've little to no knowledge of how whisky is made. Enjoyed the history of Glasgow too. Lady hosting the tour was lovely! Had four tastes & got a free glass. Would recommend.

Went with my dad as he loves whiskey and has been on a few whiskey tours before all round the uk. However this distillery is a fairly young one, so it is slightly different. Nonetheless a fabulous tour - very informative and very interesting. It's not an overly long tour which I think is a positive as it doesn't overdo it like some others.
This tour touches quite a lot on the history of whiskey and the shipyards in Glasgow which was super insightful and I really liked this aspect of it - makes it slightly more unique.
Our guide was really good, enthusiastic and informative which is always a positive. The whiskey tasting at the end is obviously the highlight and they even offer takeaway tasters for those were driving - a nice touch so people don't miss out.
I've recommended to a lot of friends and family, perfect spontaneous tour, especially for a raining day.

We happened by the distillery on our way to a museum and decided to stop in. Wonderful experience. We knew nothing about the making of whiskey, and we are now fans of peat-free whiskeys. We found the tour very informative and our guide very warm and helpful. A very thoughtfully designed establishment.
We stopped at their café for a bite at the end of our tour (and the purchase of a bottle!), and would highly recommend the grilled sourdough sandwiches. Delicious!

What a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Guide was very knowledgeable and a lovely host. There wasn’t enough time for the self guided portion of the tour which was disappointing but still enjoyed it.
The tasting and the chocolates were the best part. Lovely location and would recommend.

The 100 Riversider service operated by SPT runs between George Square (north) in Glasgow city centre and the Scottish Event Campus and Riverside Museum (south) and back every 30 minutes.
The low level west bound train from central station will also take you to SECC - the distillery is nearby.

Can I walk from Patrick railway station to the clydside distillery and how long would it take
Hi David,
From Partick Station, it's a 15 to 20-minute walk.
1. Start out along Merkland Street, heading south.
2. After 150 metres turn right onto Beith Street, heading west.
3. Almost immediately, turn left onto the pedestrian and cycle path, heading south.
4. After 100 metres continue straight onto the footpath alongside the expressway. heading east.
5. After 250 metres bear left, heading east.
6. After 15 metres turn right onto the footpath alongside the expressway heading south.
7. After 70 metres continue straight onto Pointhouse Road, heading south.
8. After 500 metres turn right onto the footbridge, heading west.
You will then be able to see The Clydeside Distillery.
