Barrowland Park is a small park at the eastern end of Glasgow city centre. Ordinarily it's something of an unknown park except for a bit of public art known as Jim Lambie’s Album Pathway, on one of the paved pathway in the park. It's basically a listing of the musical acts that have performed at the nearby Barrowland concert venue for the decades.

Visit if you're a big music fan, otherwise I wouldn't go out of the way.

A very interesting use of space. Like a journey back in time see the great and the good who have played at Barrowland. Well worth a visit and going into McKinnons beside it for a pint.

Barrowland Park is a small patch of green land in Glasgows Trongate area which has had a mini make over with a list of all the bands who have played the Barrowland Ballroom (Green Day, Blink-182, Oasis, Kinks, Verve, Ozzy Osbourne, etc etc etc) and while it might have came into a slight bit of decay over the years (a fair number of the band names have been chipped away) its still nice enough and a great monument to Glasgows rich music history.

As we were taking a walk around Barrowlands and Glasgow Green, we stumbled on this in Barrowland park. It is very small but was an unique list of bands who played at the Barrowland.

Arranged like records on a shelf, artist Jim Lambie's 'album pathway' in Barrowland Park, Glasgow lists the names and dates of thousands of bands that have played the city's famous Barrowlands venue since 1983.

A small park with a sidewalk of band names on planks, and dates they played at Barrowland Ballroom nearby.
My husband and I rented a flat on St Andrews Square for our vacation, the park is at the end of our street. We spent a good half hour walking, taking pictures and having a good time on the album walk!
