The oldest university

Wonderful buildings and quads to visit all open to the visitor. This is a University like no other in the world. To have studied here would have been an enormous privilege.

A truly comprehensive visit with friendly, knowledgeable students. We felt very welcome by everyone we came in contact with. A beautiful town and university steeped in history.

A beautiful quadrangle with the oldest buildings in St Andrews University and some students offered a bit of history to go with it.

My daughter visited an open day last week by train - having missed a day of school, and travelled hundreds of miles to see this university she was disappointed to be told that open day students are not allowed to see the library. This marred what was otherwise an enjoyable day. Come on St. Andrews, you are a good university... More

Took the formal campus tour with a fourth-year student in August 2016. Beautiful and historic campus is worth the time and walk. St. Andrews Cathedral is NOT a part of the campus tour, but it is within walking distance, so make sure you leave time to see that as well.

My son teaches at St. Andrews, so I am a bit prejudiced, but it is a lovely old campus dating back to 1413.

I walked around the University. Beautiful campus. Amazing, old buildings. Lovely courtyards. I would recommend anyone who enjoys old architecture should take a walk around the campus.

Part of the glamour of this university is knowing that it is the Alma Mater of Princes William and Harry as well as Princess Kate. It is a very stately campus. The courtyard of St. Mary's College, the Tower and the church of St. Salvator ' College. There is an ancient thorn tree close to the college chapel is thought... More

My Son is fortunate enough to be studying at this magnificent seat of learning. The buildings and environs are steeped in history and are a "must see" for any tourist visiting the area.
