I play here regularly throughout the summer when the weather is good with friends. Its a nice little course with 36 holes. Clubs can be rented from the golf tavern

Stumbled across this gem whilst the Fringe was on and it is one of the great activities to do in Edinburgh during summer. There are 36 pitch n putt holes on offer and if you have your own clubs, it's free! If like us however...More

The oldest golf course in Edinburgh. It is called short hole because it is a pitch and putt course. 18 holes of golf in the middle of a city park, surrounded by schools, shops and houses. Remember to visit the Golf Tavern after your round.

A wonderful location, adjacent to a dog park, and used by many but grounds are in great shape. The first course of this kind that I have seen in person. Great setting and beautiful neighborhood. Convenient to University and Old town.

Well worth a stop here if you are lucky enough to get a dry and maybe even sunny day. A map of the holes is pinned to small green but, we did not make 36 but loved it.

This is free, outdoors and fun so it's hard not to like it! It was quite busy on the day we went but then it was one of the sunniest days we had had for a while so it was no real surprise! We took...More

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of
neighbourhood that supports a long string of
second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
