This is a wonderful well looked after path that stretches from Balerno to the docks in Leith covering just under thirteen miles walking besides the gently flowing Water of Leith as it twists its way through steep valleys past Currie, Juniper Green, through Colinton Dell...More

We began our walk in Leith and walked along the Water of Leith Walkway all the way back to Edinburgh Castle. This was a very easy walk with lots to see along the way, so it didn’t feel like you were just walking endlessly. There...More

We took a bus from city centre to Stockbridge, then did the Water of Leith walkway. It was an easy and lovely walk.

Walk along Water of Leith is cool, nice and refreshing. You can't imagine being in the city when enjoying it !

Even though parts were blocked for workmen doing things, we walked it twice and found new things to photogragh and muddle over each time. The interaction with walkers, cyclists, families, dogs is all wonderful. It is wheelchair friendly. And it gets up your 10,000 steps...More

Very pleasant and quite romantic walkway (even though a stretch of it was closed due to landslides). Some beautiful scenery and interesting history along the way.

We visited the Waters of Leith walkway in May and it was truly magical! As an amateur photographer, I got some great shots and videos. Close to new town of Edinburgh, enchanting village of Dean, museums and more.

You need to get a local map to find it or ask at the tourist information booths. Go on a dry weather day if you can. It is so quiet when compared to the City Centre. Also, nice to walk around Leith.

This is so close to the town and yet so peaceful and charming. A great place to take a stroll and enjoy the scenery along the waterway.

The stretch from the Modern Art gallery to Dean village is not too long and very pretty and then you can go back into the city quite easily!

Yes there is. The walkway ends in Leith (next to a multitude of bars and restaurants) and you can access the city centre at Haymarket or Stockbridge. Both are a short walk into the city and signposted
