Visited to see if we liked the place for our wedding. It was lovely. History abound with friendly staff. Not sure why people say it’s expensive. It’s not unless you are a bit of a tight wad. We stayed in Gretna Hall which is part...More

Wedding are conducted in an industrial fashion. Don't be late or you will miss your slot it's tighter than landing at Gatwick. Entire complex is designed to take your money from start to finish. Tacky tartan gifts at extortionate prices and tepid food that's been...More

We had a blessing here on Saturday to celebrate 20 years of marriage. The ceremony was beautiful and we were made to feel extremely special. The place itself is full of history. There are some lovely shops and not with ridiculous prices. Being able to...More

Slightly spoilt by the huge tourist infrastructure but nice to re visit after so many years. With a big family connection to the area the history detail is informative and lighthearted. The shopping experience was nice but very over priced. I still remember the blacksmiths...More

From when I was a little girl, I would read of Gretna Green. My dad spoke of it. It was in many of the romantic novels where the young lass would run away to be married, in love but dishonourably, all in haste in the...More

9am to 6pm June to September 9am to 5pm rest of year but I would always check their website. If there is a wedding, the room where it is being held is closed to the public.
