Lochcarron Visitor Centre, in the heart of the Scottish Borders, offers our famous mill tours where you see all aspects of tartan production, then peruse our Visitor Centre and shop for knitwear, tartan and our fabulous accessories as well as taking a look at our lovely gift shop - Our newly expanded coffee shop offers Starbucks coffee, home made cakes, scones and light lunches! Well worth a visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed the informative tour (Jimmy was a fantastic tour guide), the shop with all the beautiful tartans and the lovely coffee shop with such friendly and helpful staff and delicious home made scones.

We took a tour of the "factory". So interesting! Saw how various tartans are woven. Learned a little about the process. I am a bit obsessed with fabric, so this appealed to me. The shop was fun; they also have a 'seconds' shop, as well.
