Bit of a trek up the hill from the town of Melrose (although you can also drive to it). Well worth it for this monument to Thomas the Rhymer and the interesting story attached to the spot. Recommended.

Had a look at it on the way to walking the Eildon Hills. I knew a bit about Thomas the Rhymer. So it was good to the see a spot connected with him.

I was not familiar with the story of Thomas the rhymer so learned something from visiting this site. The stone is unprepossessing but the story fascinating and the location fantastic!

The history behind the Rhymer shown on the Display Board is interesting but the stone itself is nothing much - certainly not worth a special trip - but it is on the route of many trips to the Eildon Hills.

We visited this as we where passing on our way to another attraction. Glad we did not go out of our way as nothing much to it and after the initial signpost for it, you are left to guess as to where it actually is.

Interesting piece of historic information that you may come across when climbing Eildon Hills. Great views from low level view point

We could not find this, very badly signposted. We took the wrong turning as there was nothing to indicate where the stone was.
