The gardens are a welcome escape from a town centre that is becoming increasingly depressed . there are innumerable charity shops, boarded up shops that all bear witness to the impact of having two 24 hour supermarkets within a stones throw of each other and the town centre. The gardens are well maintained and respected by the populace.

This being ranked number 2 attraction in galashiels really does show how little gala has to offer. It's a small council maintained garden. Nothing more than that.

Located right in the town centre and forming almost the entire south side of Bank Street, there are a choice of cafes, bars... More

Beautiful well attended gardens that really brighten up the town. Benches are available to sit and contemplate whatever your wish. People use the garden for eating their lunches

If you feel you need a rest, either after a hard day sightseeing, or before going to a café for lunch or a snack, (Walkers Café being just across the road) then bank street gardens can be a good place to visit. It is not too far from shops and cafes, and is a nice open space in Galashiels, not... More
