We always enjoy a ferry trip on CalMac. Bought a day trip ticket from them which covered the bus ticket from Craignure to Tobermory. We found 2 hours in Tobermory was enough due to the cold wind.

We have been to Scotland a few times now and always enjoy a trip on Calmac Ferries. Whether we're heading to Oban, Islay or Skye, the ferry staff are very friendly and efficient. On board food is good too!

travelled with calmac many a time, always clean, always polite staff...although they were struggling with cutting out some paper angels....(no blue peter to aid the kids these days) Friendly company, lovely boats.. just sit on deck and admire God's handywork.

If you are planning to take a vehicle you must book in high season. Foot passengers just buy a ticket in the booking hall.

It would be tight but not impossible. Important would be the arrival time of Glasgow bus into Oban, of course.
