This is found at the end of the Esplanade on the side of the River Dee. Great views of the ships coming in and out from the sea to Aberdeen Harbour and the War Memorial on the banks of the Dee is really interesting. There...More

This place is very interesting to visit and see all the old fisher folks houses and gardens. Best to visit on a dry day since it is all outside as you walk up and down the old street. Most of the house are holiday homes...More

I have visited Aberdeen over many years and only recently came across this lovely jewel of a place hidden away at the other side of the beach . It has its own wee church in the middle of the rows of very interesting fishermens cottages....More

This small area, adjoining Aberdeen Harbour, was once home to a fishing community. Visiting it is really going back-in-time. Really worth taking a stroll around and it is a great contrast to today's Aberdeen Harbour, base for many oil industry vessels.

Footdee is a tiny community on one of the bay's peninsulas. Lots of tiny homes and quaint decorations. This is a real community, not just a showcase, so be careful of intruding on resident's privacy. A nice stroll along the seawall as well.

Went for a jog around Aberdeen and found myself in the middle of Footdee. Beautiful! Took some fabulous photos and enjoyed the sea front.

With only about 50-60 homes, this small, waterfront community is easily viewed in about 30 minutes. There are some eccentric looking homes - as well as some that are in need of repair. Respect the fact that these are people's homes/neighborhood - at times I...More

My wife and I had a wee wonder round fittie on Saturday . It’s a lovely place for a walk through between the beach and the harbour 😊😊

This old village is quaint and a delight to wander around. The cottages are visually well kept, quirky, often colourful and are situated by an amazing coastline.

A step back in time! I spent a morning wandering around Fittie and enjoyed speaking to the local residents. Lovely people. I was shocked by the behaviour of some of the tourists, sticking their cameras right against the windows of the houses and taking photos...More

Yes you can walk it in twenty minutes or so, but goes past the docks so is not very pleasant for a stroll! Best bet is to drive and park at the sea front for free.
