Very multicultural with a lovely atmosphere. We arrived early and Polish mass in progress. Noticed a critical review about "why is Polish so important". Surely if u have a church full of people and a priest of the same nationality why would u not speak...More

Striking Victorian building but quite modern fittings. Always someone in the place 24/7. Warm and properly prayerful. This is a church with a beating heart.

The chapel beneath the tower gives a glimpse of the Victorian glory there must once have been. Now a grim and unspiritual interior of lino and tatty fittings like an old Woolworths.

St. Mary's was my favorite church in Aberdeen. I used to attended the Sunday mass and its always a beautiful mass. Always had peace of mind and really enjoyed it.

St Mary of the Assumption is to us, who are used to more colourful and highly decorated baroque style churches, quite a simple though elegant building. Its very simplicity, provides the right atmosphere conducive to a more intimate relationship with the Lord.
