Nice museum

It was an interesting museum, with loads of info about the maritime history of Aberdeen. It's not a subject that really calls my attention, but it was nice to visit it!

Interesting, sadly there was no one to talk to about exhibits so we never found out what was what, but we wandered about looking at things as we went, was a family I front and the kids found it very boring, which was a shame, they played on there phones all the time, we had to push by them to... This museum is good fun and very interactive! It's totally free and there's loads to do, there's a 3D movie experience, lifesize models and so much information! We spent a good couple of hours here. There's a cloackroom for your jackets too.

This museum, though not exactly huge, houses some really interesting exhibits/objects and is well worth a visit. The ship models that you might expect from a maritime museum are there, but there are also exhibits unique to Aberdeen; especially things related to the oil industry - how oil is extracted from the sea bed, which equipment is needed, etc. An... Went here with very little knowledge of the maritime industry but came out feeling as though I had learned plenty. The mini film of the current day oil rig was particularly insightful and was a very good watch and gave us a great look at life on an oil rig - something which really interested me. The description of how... More

A unique experience. I especially enjoyed the Oil & Gas Tour. A very realistic portrait of how the life offshore looks like.

Lots of interesting things including local stories as well as the maritime and oil industry displays. Handy to the Eastern end of Union Street and close to the harbour.

A Great Museum to have a wonder round on a wet weekend... really interesting model of the NS platform. Although you do have to watch the opening hours and the 'Job's worth' on the door!
