Nice architecture surrounding the Christmas market, Local produce being sold within marischal college grounds. (Friday-Sunday) changes weekly! Entertainment rides for kids, mini ice rink too. Food been great, for vegan and meat eaters , sausages cooked on a BBQ smells great!! Mulled wine was a must as it is Christmas.
Local eateries are in this area too.

A mixed use area with some shops, housing and offices. It does have the character of an old school civic square and the only really interesting thing in the area is Marischal College, which is really what I came to see. The area is also quite quiet right now as there's not much business around. Not many of the restaurants & cafes seemed to be open when I visited, thanks to you know what.

There's a fantastic sculpture of a giant cat in the centre of the dining area.

This is a really average square. It has really good bits but it also has some really ugly bits too. Pretty good for a stroll.

Marischal Square was completed in 2007. Has quite a few restaurants and Coffee Shops including All Bar1, Costa, Mackies, Prezzo and Tony Macaroni.
There is a Residence Inn by Marriott here as well as Original 106 Radio Station.
Provost Skene’s house borders here and has taken years to refurbish.
There is a leopard high up in the centre here. Well worth a visit.

With so many stores vacant in Aberdeen City centre, why was this shopping complex built?
There is more need for affordable housing.
It is a monstrosity and drowns the historic 5 star Provost Skene's House.

Inside is the magnificent leopard sculpture so make sure you don’t miss it! Looks like nothing to see but there is.

The square has a few places to get some food like Tony Macaroni, Costs, Mackies or Bar One. However, far too much empty space still and little else to do.

The leopard is nice but overpriced to get it tbh. Just another faceless building which spoils the view of older building in the surrounding areas. A waste of money to be completely honest and not really worth a visit.

Aberdeen’s latest civic development is now open. Opposite Marischal College, this spanking new centre will either be loved or loathed. There is one outstanding sculpture worth a visit though. Look up to see the crouching leopard. It’s especially atmospheric when lit up at night.
