Throughout the Guildhall is an array of stunning stained glass windows capturing historic events in the City and iconic landmarks. The Guildhall Clock is a replica of London’s Big Ben and can be heard across the city and beyond the River Foyle. The Mayor’s Parlour and Council Chamber are housed in the Guildhall playing host to civic events, special commemorations and monthly committee meetings

    Nice building, informative
This building is very beautiful. There was a lot of information about John Hume and the roll he played in the Good Friday Agreements. Also information about Bloody Sunday and the inquiries. The inside of the building is quite pretty overall, especially the big rooms. The building looks out onto a courtyard, with the city walls behind it. Just very pretty overall.
Thank you for you review we are glad that you have enjoyed the experience of visiting the Guildhall.

Worth a Visit - Gorgeous Building
We were brought to the Guildhall as part of a day trip. A stunning architectural building found across the road from the Peace Bridge and the river. Very elegant inside with beautiful stained glass windows. Staff very welcoming, helpful and pleasant considering we were quite a large group. An exhibition was on show downstairs in one of the large rooms. Free entry, worth a visit.
Hi many thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed your visit.

    Nice historic building
This is a nice historic building just off the city walls. Make sure to visit upstairs as well as the ground floor. There is a pleasant square outside with a water feature which kids love on a. Hot day, there is also a couple of bars / coffee shops to sit and watch the wo4ld go by.
Thanks for the review Steve glad you enjoyed your visit to the Guildhall

    Must See
Beside St Columba Cathedral this is the largest building within the city walls. It is also the city hall so regular business goes on all around you as you marvel at the size and beauty of the building. The highlight is the organ room on the 2nd floor. The organist was playing, and the pipes change colors throughout his performance.

    A beautiful building
Today we visited the beautiful Guildhall. What a stunning building, such glorious windows, such vibrant colours. There is a lot to see in the hall and there are good toilets facilities to use . Very important when you are travelling and new to the area . Great building, lovely architecture.

    Impressive exterior
We were visiting Derry for the day and started our walking tour from the Guildhall. The Guildhall is very impressive on the outside with a very nice clock tower. We all thought it was once a Cathedral, but our guide quickly told us that it was not and gave us a history of the building’s turbulent past. Members of the city and district councils meet here and there is not much going on here of interest for tourists. When we visited, they had an art exhibit. Make sure you do visit the Main Hall, which has beautiful woodwork along with a pipe organ that extends the length of one of the walls and has over 3,000 pipes. The organ lights up in different colors and is very beautiful.

Great Tour, Great staff, utterly recommend.
The Guildhall is the cornerstone of the history of the City of Derry, (before you ask, the first 6 letters in the City name are silent). Our Tour Guide Carmel was outstanding in delivering the history of Derry in approximately an hour. We could happily have stayed longer, but we had booked a walking tour of Free Derry Corner.
Hi Noel many thanks for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your tour with Carmel

The building is class but the staff makes it all the better.
I suffered from a severe nose bleed that happened abruptly before a wedding. I began to panic and freak out about what I going to do..thankfully my bride was understanding but I wanted to give my sincere thanks and gratitude to one of your members of staff. His name is Jack and he was absolutely amazing with me and how he dealt with the whole ordeal. He took me into another room, cleaned me up and calmed me down. If it wasn't for him and his quick response, I would have been screwed as it was quite a traumatic experience, at such a crucial time. There's not many people like him in the world. I feel he deserves the recognition for his kindness.
Hi thanks for the review, I will pass on your thanks to Jack

Arrived in Londonderry and this building is the first one we visited. Great friendly staff and we were not allowed to take pictures of a political or historical nature so my narrative will have to do. We were allowed to take pictures of windows and other parts of the building though. A general description of the history of Derry and the Plantation period was presented and it was very interesting. The organ was the highlight for me! If you were a certified organ player you could get to play it! So cool.

The building from the outside alone is well worth the visit if in Derry! Architecture is impressive and can be best viewed from on top of the city walls.

Entry inside the building is free which is great. They have very interesting displays inside about the plantations in Ulster. Staff are also friendly.
