loved this walk. I met many people during my walk of all ages, mothers with children, strollers, runners and bikers too.

Walked over this bridge with my brother. It nearly killed me. Not for the faint hearted. It's grand if your fit but a long slog for someone like me who's totally unfit. Will definitely do it again though the views are fantastic

A modern construction linking the newer Waterside/Altnagelvin/Gransha areas with the older City area and providing a useful link for those travelling to the Inishowen Peninsula area of Donegal and to more western areas of Donegal. There are good parking places at both ends of the bridge with well marked walks giving views of the bridge from below. A walk across... More

They told us that it was a 15 to 20 minutes walk from Waterfoot Hotel to CBD Derry. We are very fit but it took all of 2 hours walking at brisk pace , crossing this bridge & walking into City.

If it's a Windsday be careful as you're high in the air over the Foyle, but the view from up there is breathtaking upriver and downriver. Always a good introduction to first time visitors coming into the city from the airport...take a right at the roundabout rather than than going straight on for Lisnagelvin and the hospital. Next roundabout after... More

Road and pedestrian bridge. Drove over it to get over the River Foyle to get into town, don't understand what the fuss is about?

We were able to walk across during one of our geocaching adventures and while the traffic is a bit loud there is a guardrail protecting the pedestrians. Great views from up there, especially as the racing Clippers are in town for the weekend.

I have used this bridge since it got opened and what a difference it has made to our journeys from North to South or South to North. The view from the top of the bridge is great and the city looks exceptional at night when the lights are on

Good views as you go over the bridge and spectacular landscapes each side the banks. Foyle river runs well.

You can not visit the city without seeing the foyle bridge, a brilliant piece of engineering that doubled the crossing points of the foyle it used to be only the Craigavon Bridge or ten miles to Strabane to cross. The view from the park below the bridge gives a view of the immense size of the structure if you get... More
