His suggestions were spot on. The Guildhall was an unexpected surprise. And his suggestion for cheap parking close to the downtown was much appreciated. Thoroughly recommend a visit to the centre to help plan your stay in the city.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 June 2023
- 19572015Dublin, Ireland7 contributionsA taxi tour with Vincent of Foyle taxisThe staff were most helpful explaining different tour options .We took a taxi tour with Vincent from Foyle Taxis . It was one of best city tours we ever took. Vincent was born near Bogside so had first hand knowledge of area. He delivered his information with a real empathy & respect for both sides in “ The Troubles “ We enjoyed his easy delivery & he never rushed us & we felt totally enriched by his tour. We learned so much about the city. Vincent was so positive about the future for Derry as he had lived through it all. We could totally recommend a taxi tour & if you are lucky enough to have Vincent as your guide you are in for a real treat.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 July 2023

This should be everybody’s first stop off when visiting Derry. It has got all of the information needed to make the most of you time in Derry.
The man who approached us was so helpful he talked us through where everything was he made recommendations gave us maps and printed Information without trying to plug sales for anything.
It was clear to see he was keen to share lots of local tips with us and there is a real sense of pride in the city.

I would like to take a group of students (50) on a walking tour of Derry to see the walls hear all ablout the bogside and Harveys Bristol cream and its family where is the best tour available for these at the best coast .We have three adults accompanying them and they can be slit into smaller groups .We plan to be there on the 10th May .kind regards

I did City Walking Tour with Matin McCrossen’s company. They were fast paced, included humour & friendly - I think would prob work for young people.

When we walked the walls we did it independently so cannot advise on which is the cheapest tour or the best value. I would suggest you contact the Derry/ Londonderry tourist board by googling it and although they will not tell you which is the best they should be able to give you the details of each one. It may also be worth looking on Tripadvisor for attractions in the city. Beware though as some of the guided tours will be IMO ridiculously expensive for what you get. There are some information panels on the walls but 50 people would not all see the same one at same time if you want to keep the group altogether. Mind you I doubt one guide would be heard properly addressing such a number either. One plus is the walls are very wide and the group could walk 6 abreasteasily and still not block access for other groups.
