We had had mixed reviews of Londonderry but after doing some our own research, we decided to give it a go with our first stop at the visitors centre. I wish I could remember the lady's name who assisted us as she was fantastic and with a lot of knowledge of not just Londonderry but of Donegal County too, which... More

This is where you should start your visit. Parking in a garage is nearby if you drove via car. They will get you oriented with a map. Some tours start from there.

Very well laid out with a good selection of free maps, guides and leaflets not only abut Derry itself but also the rest of co Londonderry, other parts of Northern Ireland and the Northern part of the Republic as well. Friendly helpful staff

John McNulty was our guide. we were on a Tour of Northern Ireland with a party of 13. Incl. Driver and guide. We all signed up for this walking tour as we were fascinated by Derry's history. Little did we know how much history was actually there. We learned an awful lot from our walking guide John McNulty who was... More

We went on a tour with Martin McCrossan Tours and our guide was Dermot. We have to say he was a brilliant guide. He really helped give us a good insight into the history behind the history of Derry from a neutral perspective. The views are very nice also and well worth a walk. There are some steps/steps to navigate... More

We took the Martin McCrossan Tour and John was our guide. He was friendly and clearly presented the history of the city without any bias to either side. The tour is exceptional value as it ends with free tea or coffee at Java. Mind you there you are tempted with all sorts of mouth watering goodies which undo all the... More

Well laid-out and masses of information, but we just found it a bit hard to find a map of Derry that wasn't in Chinese, Russian and a dozen other languages. Who knew Lithuanian would be big here?!

Our first stop in Derry/Londonderry for maps and information. Easy to get to, very helpful staff. I said what we wanted to see in a day visit and was given a clear route and directions.
