    Perfect for a rainy Day
The history of Ulster is a long and complicated thing, and for many outside the Island of Irland, this is a lot to take in when visiting Derry/Londonderry. This is why anyone who wants to know some of the issues in history, still affecting the six countries, you could do worse than visiting this impressive castle. Located close to Foyle Street Buscentre, and across the road from the impressive Guildhall, the museum tells the story of the complicated history of Anglo-Irish relations across 800 years. The informative, interactive, and tactile displays are great for all ages. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the museum was a pleasant place to visit. Open Daily 10 am–4:30 pm, at a reasonable price for Adults at £4.00, Concession Rate - £2.40. Worth 2 hours of your time, not least on a wet and windy day.
Hi David we are glad that you have enjoyed your visit to the museum we hope that you visit again soon

    Great museum
Fabulous place to view the Derry girls exhibition and the history of Derry. Small minimal fee of £4, and worth every penny of it. So much information about the city of Derry, finishing off with an audio-visual on the city in recent years. Worth a visit. Staff up for taking photos too.
Thanks for the review we are glad that you have enjoyed your visit to the museum

    Fantastic informative day.
Staff really friendly. Excellent value for money for family ticket. Enjoyed every minute of the experience from the Derry girls exhibition, the history of Derry and Ireland, the Spanish Armada and the dress up costumes for children.
Hi thanks for the review we aim to deliver so that the whole family enjoys the visit

What a joy! Just wished we'd had more time!
What a joy! We started with the temporary Derry Girls exhibition, and we spent most of this time laughing and remembering all the laughs. Excellent! Then we moved onto the main museum, the history of Derry. So informative and provoked a great discussion amongst us. Slightly disappointed that the modern day( past century) was so sparse. Unfortunately we didn't have time to visit the Spanish Armada exhibition. We had not planned to spend 3 hours there, but the time flew and we had to leave for another engagement. Well worth the little amount we paid to get it.
Hi thanks for the review, I hope that you visit the Armada exhibition the next time you are here as it is very interesting and we have received great feedback about it

    Fabulous Derry Girls Exhibition
The staff were helpful in letting me know what was on at The Tower Museum while I was there. There is a lot to see at this museum; in particular, there's an absolute wealth of information on the history of Derry here, both recent & ancient. I had limited time to spare so only touched the surface of the Derry history exhibition. My main reason for the visit was the Derry Girls exhibition; I loved this! It put a smile on my face seeing props & costumes & seeing snippets of the tv series as I wandered around. Would recommend to any Derry Girls fans.

    Interesting Museum and Great Value
Excellent museum. We didn’t really know what to expect but really enjoyed our visit. The museum explores the history of Derry, the discovery of the shipwreck, good view from level 5 and had an excellent Derry Girl exhibition. We also thought good value, it was £10 for the 3 of us.

The history of Derry in the heart of the city.
For only 4 GBP for an adult ticket, I learnt all about the entire comprehensive history of Derry. The museum is very well and clearly laid out in a way that makes it very easy for the visitor to follow the earmarked trail. The staff are very professional, polite and friendly as well as always being willing to help.

    Excellent
What a fascinating place just across from the Guild Hall. We saw three fabulous exhibitions for the princely sum of £2.40 each. The first exhibition, the tv comedy Derry Girls - which has taken the world by storm - and even had Ms Chelsea Clinton in a cameo role. And the line 'Protestants don't like Abba' that made me laugh aloud. Oh I've never met anybody who doesn't like ABBA. Exhibition 2 The history of Derry from Stone Age about 10,000 years ago to date including a documentary film. Exhibition 3 An Armada shipwreck with cannon and weapons recovered from the wreckage. It's a few hours to do the exhibitions seriously and the staff like all the citizens of this scarred city of survivors are so damn friendly and genuinely warm. Of course I recommend it like I recommend staying in this city for at least 3 nights.

Excellent exhibit design. It was really engaging, and gave a good sense of the history of the social & religious conflicts here.
