Castle Ward will take you on a journey of discovery. The 18th-century eccentric house with two distinctly different styles, classical and Gothic, will entice you to explore further. This truly beautiful 332-hectare (820-acre) walled demesne, with walking trails, exotic garden, stunning vistas and picturesque farmyard, will unlock your imagination through family history, leisure pursuits, events and industrial heritage. A children's pastimes centre and laundry room are a short walk from the house in the stableyard, alongside a gift shop, second-hand bookshop and tea-room.

Plesant National Trust property with great caravan Park

House well worth a tour round. Also if you do Game of Thrones then this is a must do for film locations. The caravan park also run by the Trust is well run in a good location.

Un-recognisable from the film. Were charged full price but not told shop and café were closed, and were not allowed to use costumes, told they were reserved for special... More

In this park there is something for everyone. It is a beautiful estate with Castleward House overlooking the picturesque Strangford Lough. The grounds have magnificent trees and plants now in full bloom. There are great walks ,bicycle tracks and even horse riding trails. There is a great playground for children. The National Trust staff run special events for children at... More

The national trust site steeped in history as well as beauty seated on the slope down to Strangford Lough, was a refreshing location to visit. With multiple driving lanes, walking paths and unmarked paths it can be slightly confusing but well worth a visit. With a coastal route overlooking a large portion of the lough at that point and an... More

A long walk ensued to a farmhouse that was under construction so we went on the game of thrones signpost to the only thing... More

A lot of the GOT Winterfell Castle is computer generated. This is still worth a visit. We did the Archery Experience, which my kids loved.

I had family home for Christmas and most of January and my grandson did not remember much of Ireland when he left the province so I decided to show him as much as I could. This included a trip down the peninsular and over on the ferry to Castle Ward. What a Scam!! Just like Mount Stewart only worse. £9... More
