Building of this Cathedral started in 1840, but was interrupted, for some years, by the famine. Building was eventually completed around 1873 and several additions have since been made. It is approached by seven flights of steps, which could be quite challenging to young children...More

Beautiful catholic cathedral...one of two cathedrals in armagh..other is church of ireland..beautiful interior with carvings and statues...tours are given though we hadnt the time as this was a quick visit to Armagh..will come back and pre book a tour for sure

The mosaics and stained glass windows are beautiful. Set high on the hill it also has a great perspective on the town.
