steep walk down and back for a very small castle remains. Pretty place with good views, worth it for the walk at least.

5 stars all the way! Cannot say enough about this wonderful gem! You will not be disappointed! Ideal for the off-the-beaten-path type of travelers. If you do one thing in Northern Ireland, this should be it. Kinbane Castle is nearby many of the other more well known attractions, about 1k off a narrow lane. Once you arrive, there is a... More

Conditions were perfect to wander around and capture every view. Its a peaceful and inspiring place where you can look over to Rathlin... To Giants causeway and Ballycastle from the same spot. Deep steps so sturdy shoes a must.

This is one of those places that you need to do a bit of work to get to, but it is well worth the effort. Firstly, you need to drive to it - along a delightful but narrow road. The road ends at a well-maintained carpark - with toilets. Make sure you go to the toilet before you set off... More

This gem is not in many of the travel books but it is easy to find and any local can give you directions. This is a great little ruin on a small peninsula. It is a steep walk down stairs to get there but well worth it. It is just fun to come across something like this and imagine what... More

Beautiful ruin set on a small peninsular jutting into the sea. Accessed by a steep flight of steps - anyone with mobility or health problems should not attempt it because you have to climb all the steps back up to the car park! Walk put to the head past the castle ruins is exhilarating but not for the fainthearted!

Off the normal tourist trail, the journey begins with a drive down a narrow lane, not suitable for large vans or buses. When you reach the car park (with toilets) you normally find just one or two cars there. Visit the toilet, before heading down to the castle and make sure you wear sensible footwear. This trip is not suitable... More
