Looks best at dark lit up, but impressive at different times of the day. I have the pleasure of seeing this every time I arrive in Belfast from the South, it represents two worlds, the past and the future. 'Rise' symbolises a new beginning, position near areas that would have been conflict zones, close to Royal Victoria hospital that would have treated most casualties of the troubles. There are three tall apartment buildings at its side which are very dilapidated, these housed all the nurses during thr troubles which obstructs the view to the mountains from where the artwork sits. The rise itself is simple, but very symbolic.

Just love this sculture - everytime we travel passed it, I still think it looks absolutely brilliant!

This is it, this is what modern art has come to. Its literally a GIANT BALL. Every time I enter this city I have to look at this giant ugly sphere like hello? What a giant waste of tax money that could have been spent on the NHS. Would not recommend visiting

Local - recent attraction - guess after the war and difficult times of Ireland. I heard from the taxi driver that it resembles various religious parties living together in the city.

The Rise Sculpture is in the middle of the round about entering Belfast. I do not understand why it's in the center of the road. This is typical in Ulster

The Rise Sculpture seems to be in an unusual location. We thought it might be better appreciated in a more spacious area. It is very pretty structure but it’s definitely prettier at night when it is illuminated.

It’s a big sculpture, but it’s on a roundabout. It kinda feels like they put it in the wrong place. Would of definitely been better if it was put somewhere else. All that hard work and it’s on a roundabout. It’s actually nice to look at.

Rise sculpture is an impressive one situated at one of the roundabout a little far from city center to the west of the city. There is no need to visit it unless you are passing through. If you do the city sightseeing bus tour, you will see it.

A terrific landmark for tired motorway drivers! I love this type of public art. It is brilliantly positioned to be seen by thousands of drivers every day.

I didn't actually know that this sculpture was called Rise, as I've only ever heard it called the Balls on the Falls. Nicely located- on a main road into Belfast. It's nicest at night when it's all lit up.
